  • Aqua Aerobics

    Course Description Aqua Aerobics is a fun and effective way to exercise! Participants will be led through a variety of exercises to boost cardio fitness and muscular strength in a chose of shallow or deep water. Deep water participants should wear a floatation belt provided by Summit Pool for floatation assistance while working out. Logistics The class location is at Summit Middle School Pool. Enter through door #20 and turn to the right to enter the pool area. Meet the instructor under the scoreboard prior to class. Students should bring a water bottle, a towel, water shoes (optional), and swim suit to class. All students must shower off prior to entering the pool.   • Lap Swim

    Course Description Summit Pool is open for Lap Swim only on the days listed on the pool calendar/Eleyo Lap Swim page. Lap swimmers must be able to swim, water walk/jog, or water exercise. Play swim is not allowed. Logistics Swimmers can register one of three ways; In person at the pool for $5 cash/visit/person. Must sign in on the waiver form. Online for $5/visit/person (must show proof of purchase receipt to manager on duty) Punch Card for $45 purchased at the pool, good for 10 visits.     Register for Lap Swim IN PERSON AT SUMMIT POOL! EACH TIME YOU SWIM, PLEASE PAY $5 CASH AT THE POOL OFFICE AND SIGN THE WAIVER. Punch cards for $45 now available, please check in with a manager each time so we can punch your card! You must still sign the waiver each time you swim!   • Swim Team Preparation

    Course Description The Swim Team Preparation course bridges the gap between swimming lessons and competitive swim team. This class will teach the finer points of freestyle and backstroke. Swimmers will learn new skills such as breaststroke, butterfly, flip turns, and racing starts. Each class will focus on one or two skills per class to help students learn the skills needed for swim team. Swimmers should come into the class being able to swim a minimum of 25 yards freestyle or backstroke and be a competent deep water swimmer. If parents are not sure if their child is ready for Swim Team Prep, please contact the Aquatics Coordinator to set up an evaluation prior to registering for the class. At the end of the class, the instructors will evaluate each student to determine if they are ready for swim team and will be given a report card. Students may require multiple rounds of Swim Team Prep class in order to be ready for swim team. Logistics Class is at Summit Middle School Pool. Enter through door #20 and the pool area is to the right. Bring goggles that do not cover the nose, a water bottle, competitive style swim suit, towel, and an optional swim cap. Swimmers will meet under the scoreboard on the pool deck while parents should observe the class from the stands. Instructor Instructor: Summit Staff.
