From hitting fitness goals to learning new skills and crafts, Johnston Community Education provides a variety of Adult classes for all ages and all interests.
Learn to swim, take to the diving boards, prepare for the Blaze Swim Club, or enroll in a lifeguard training course. Johnston Aquatics has classes for students of all ages and interests. Aqua Aerobic courses offered for adults.
The Johnston Early Learning Academy offers programs for 2-, 3-, and 4-year-olds preparing for elementary education.
Before/after school and no school day care during the school year for JCSD students in grades DK-5. Summer full day care during the summer for all students in grades DK-6.
From Mad Science to youth basketball and so much, Johnston youth are invited to participate in one our Community Education's numerous programs.
Cook, craft, quilt - the Adult Course options are endless. Classes are available to local adults of all ages (unless otherwise specified).
Hit the gym or learn a new sport - either way, Adult Recreation leads to improved fitness, health, and character. Classes are open to local adults of all ages (unless otherwise specified).

Johnston Early Learning Academy 2-year-old program. 2-Year-Old Preschool is a fun and lively time to help kids develop skills and abilities through age- appropriate learning with activities, stories, songs, snacks and centers of choice exploratory time.

Various active and enriching course options for ages 0-5. Several classes include parent participation.
Various youth camp opportunities, typically taking place in the summer, for those wishing to immerse themselves in a sport or activity they love.
Mold clay, solve science experiments, learn circus acts and more. These enriching youth courses provide more options than you can imagine - we dare you to try them all!
Learn martial arts, perfect basketball skills, and more with youth recreation. Activities can vary depending on season.
Please take the time to register online for this program. Register only once per school year and attend as much as you like. Once you are registered, you are on our check-in list.
