From hitting fitness goals to learning new skills and crafts, Johnston Community Education provides a variety of Adult classes for all ages and all interests.
Learn to swim, take to the diving boards, prepare for the Blaze Swim Club, or enroll in a lifeguard training course. Johnston Aquatics has classes for students of all ages and interests. Aqua Aerobic courses offered for adults.
The Johnston Early Learning Academy offers programs for 2-, 3-, and 4-year-olds preparing for elementary education.
Before/after school and no school day care during the school year for JCSD students in grades DK-5. Summer full day care during the summer for all students in grades DK-6.
From Mad Science to youth basketball and so much, Johnston youth are invited to participate in one our Community Education's numerous programs.
Cook, craft, quilt - the Adult Course options are endless. Classes are available to local adults of all ages (unless otherwise specified).
Hit the gym or learn a new sport - either way, Adult Recreation leads to improved fitness, health, and character. Classes are open to local adults of all ages (unless otherwise specified).

Various youth camp opportunities, typically taking place in the summer, for those wishing to immerse themselves in a sport or activity they love.
Mold clay, solve science experiments, learn circus acts and more. These enriching youth courses provide more options than you can imagine - we dare you to try them all!
Learn martial arts, perfect basketball skills, and more with youth recreation. Activities can vary depending on season.
Course Description:
Come experience the joy of performing in a string orchestra! Open to all playing abilities. Students have the opportunity to begin learning a new instrument or build on their existing skills in a fun and supportive environment. First-time players will experience more small-group or individual lessons and practice time, while more experienced players will begin working on ensemble repertoire.
Attendance is not required at all Orchestra Club dates! Students that cannot make it to both days each week are still welcome to participate!
Parents & family are invited to join us for an end of season concert on Wednesday, April 29. (Time: TBD)
