    Course Description Cardio Tennis is a great workout with a racquet, plan to elevate your heart rate for 40-45 min. It begins with a warm up, the middle of class is filled with games, team challenges, and drills. The class finishes with a cooldown. The class will use an orange cardio tennis ball. All levels are welcome to play. Logistics Bring a racket Balls will be provided Instructors Iowa Tennis 4U Staff directed by Nicole Berger -Lauren Gano- 4th year coaching at Johnston, going into Junior year at Central College on the women’s varsity tennis team -Allie Christensen- 4th year as a tennis camp instructor for Johnston, going into Sophomore year at Luther College and play for the women’s varsity tennis team Both can’t wait to coach again this summer!

    Course Description Small group lessons taught by one of the best in the area! Lessons are taught at the Des Moines Driving Range, 2944 NW 66th Ave. Please indicate upon registration if golf clubs are needed. Logistics For weather announcements, please call the range at 515-289-1703. Make-up date for any weather issues is TBD. Instructor Mark Egly- Mark was named a top 50 instructor in America and named the Best Instructor in Iowa for a decade by Golf Digest and also named 6 Time Iowa PGA Teacher of the Year, including the 2016 Award as well.

    Johnston Green Days Bags Tournament: Saturday, June 21, 2025 Double Elimination Tournament (All teams guaranteed 2 games) Captain's Meeting held at 12:00pm. All Team Captain's are required to attend. Tournament play begins immediately following Captain's Meeting.     Pickleball Single-Day Clinic: Beginners

    Course Description Come learn the rules of the game and skills needed to get started playing one of the fastest growing sports! This is a beginner course so pickleball equipment is available if needed including a paddle and ball. A good pair of court shoes is helpful. Players must complete a beginner course before doing the advanced clinic. Logistics Enter through Door #7 and bring a paddle if you have one. Players must complete a beginner course before doing the intermediate/advanced clinic or have experience in playing and knowing the score.
