    Fishing 101

    This class prepares participants to enjoy fishing! Instructor Matt Baugh will present information about choosing the right rod/reel combo, types of fishing line, terminal tackle (hooks, weights, etc) and end the class with 3 rigs that work no matter where fishing.     Drawing in nature leads to close, careful observation and improved memory. Based on John Muir Laws as a guide, participants will look again and again at an object, paying careful attention to structures and shapes. Sketchbook entries will include words, pictures, and numbers to record observations.     This Pickleball League is played on Wednesday evenings at the District Office. The league has space for 8 two-person teams. Registrants must sign up as a 2-person team; individuals will not be taken. Teams may be split into competitive and recreational divisions depending on numbers. Teams play their league match and then can rotate around during their hour to play others. Teams either play at 6pm or 7pm. Instructor: JCE

    Whether you're wanting to learn the basics of Salsa or you have some experience and want to learn more, this class is for you! The teachers provide you with the foundation you need to get moving to this fun and energetic dance. Review and improve your skills while adding turn patterns and hand combinations. Learn something new, meet new people, challenge yourself and have fun!!! Courses led by Karen Rose and Jose Blanco. Karen has been teaching Latin dancing for over 10 years; both here in Des Moines and in Minnesota. Jose has been instructing for the past 2 years. Registrants can sign up individually. Couples are preferred but not necessary as the instructors will dance with students when needed.
