Course Description Youth players will be taught the fundamentals of basketball that are stressed in the Johnston High School girls basketball program including offensive skills and defensive concepts. All players will be given a chance to work on these skills each day during competitive game play. They will each receive a t-shirt, have daily prizes, and snacks will be provided at the end of each session. Logistics Enter through Door #3 on south side of JHS. Course Description This camp will prepare athletes for the upcoming fall season by focusing on fundamentals and conditioning. Focus will be on building the foundation necessary to maximize performance in the sport. Individual skill drills and team competition will be used daily to develop each athlete. We will learn a few jazz standards then spend most of our time developing solos as well as listening to a lot of jazz. The week will culminate with a Friday Jam Session! Course Description Junior Dragon Power is a conditioning program that emphasizes proper body weight exercises, weight lifting technique, core strength, flexibility, agility, speed, power and endurance. This program is designed to improve overall athletic ability that will enhance performance for all sports. Younger athletes will use little or no weight. PVC sticks will be used to perfect lifting technique.
