Course Description 

• Parent Child Aquatics Swimming Lessons provide parents of young children enrolled in Red Cross swim lessons for the first time with an orientation to American Red Cross swim lessons offered at Summit Pool. This course is for children ages 2 and 3 years old and a parent must get into the water with the child for the entire class. Swimmers and parents will learn holding techniques in the water, entry and exit to the water, breath control, floating, arm and leg actions on the front and back, and water safety topics.

Logistics

• Class will be held at Summit Pool 9500 Windsor Parkway, Johnston IA 50131 and Enter the facility through door #20 
• No glass or food is allowed in the pool area
• Students that are not potty trained must wear a swim diaper in the water
• Additional children not participating in the class must be supervised by an adult who is out of the water.
