From hitting fitness goals to learning new skills and crafts, Johnston Community Education provides a variety of Adult classes for all ages and all interests.
Learn to swim, take to the diving boards, prepare for the Blaze Swim Club, or enroll in a lifeguard training course. Johnston Aquatics has classes for students of all ages and interests. Aqua Aerobic courses offered for adults.
The Johnston Early Learning Academy offers programs for 2-, 3-, and 4-year-olds preparing for elementary education.
Before/after school and no school day care during the school year for JCSD students in grades DK-5. Summer full day care during the summer for all students in grades DK-6.
From Mad Science to youth basketball and so much, Johnston youth are invited to participate in one our Community Education's numerous programs.
Cook, craft, quilt - the Adult Course options are endless. Classes are available to local adults of all ages (unless otherwise specified).

Learn martial arts, perfect basketball skills, and more with youth recreation. Activities can vary depending on season.
Course Description
Measure, mix, shake, and bake! Students will get comfortable in the kitchen preparing and flavoring snacks, mixing and baking treats, and shaking up homemade ice cream! Young chefs will have the opportunity to experiment with flavors and test fizzing concoctions. This camp is a tasty blend of science, creativity, and fun!
Registration fee includes all ingredients and supplies. Participants will bring home kitchen creations every day!
