The Johnston Early Learning Academy offers programs for 2-, 3-, and 4-year-olds preparing for elementary education.
Before/after school and no school day care during the school year for JCSD students in grades DK-5. Summer full day care during the summer for all students in grades DK-6.

Course Description
Beginners and Intermediates will be split by the instructors after the first day to allow for better growth in each individual. BEGINNERS- different theme each day: forehand, backhand, serve return, and volley. The final practice will be spent learning how to play a real match including scoring. The main focus is on having fun, sportsmanship, learning tennis, and improving skills. Orange balls will be used with 23-25-inch racquets. Racquets are provided if needed. INTERMEDIATES- This is for players that have played or are interested in playing matches. The player should be able to serve and rally 3 balls in a row. The focus is going to be on offense and defense with an understanding of shot selection. There will be an emphasis on grip changes, spins, placement and consistency. Orange balls are used with 25 inch racquets.
