From hitting fitness goals to learning new skills and crafts, Johnston Community Education provides a variety of Adult classes for all ages and all interests.
Learn to swim, take to the diving boards, prepare for the Blaze Swim Club, or enroll in a lifeguard training course. Johnston Aquatics has classes for students of all ages and interests. Aqua Aerobic courses offered for adults.
The Johnston Early Learning Academy offers programs for 2-, 3-, and 4-year-olds preparing for elementary education.
Before/after school and no school day care during the school year for JCSD students in grades DK-5. Summer full day care during the summer for all students in grades DK-6.
From Mad Science to youth basketball and so much, Johnston youth are invited to participate in one our Community Education's numerous programs.

Course Description
Participants learn baseball material that fits the player's age range. Learn and improve throwing, hitting, pitching, catching, fielding, sliding, and team offense and defense. Players will be working hand in hand with varsity coaches and HS players. Please send players in baseball apparel- cleats, glove, hat, and bat.

-JHS Head Baseball Coach Nathan Buckallew- Starting in the 2025-2026 season Nathan Buckallew will be taking over as head coach. Coach Buckallew is a 2017 Johnston High School grad. He continued his baseball playing career at Concordia University- Nebraska. After graduation Nathan has served as an assistant at both Johnston and Concordia!
