Learn to swim, take to the diving boards, prepare for the Blaze Swim Club, or enroll in a lifeguard training course. Johnston Aquatics has classes for students of all ages and interests. Aqua Aerobic courses offered for adults.
The Johnston Early Learning Academy offers programs for 2-, 3-, and 4-year-olds preparing for elementary education.
Before/after school and no school day care during the school year for JCSD students in grades DK-5. Summer full day care during the summer for all students in grades DK-6.
From Mad Science to youth basketball and so much, Johnston youth are invited to participate in one our Community Education's numerous programs.

Learn martial arts, perfect basketball skills, and more with youth recreation. Activities can vary depending on season.
Students become young entrepreneurs as they explore the basics of money, budgeting, and business. Each week students will take on early financial literacy challenges like designing products, creating pretend stores, and managing simple budgets. It’s hands-on math with a creative twist!
