From hitting fitness goals to learning new skills and crafts, Johnston Community Education provides a variety of Adult classes for all ages and all interests.
Learn to swim, take to the diving boards, prepare for the Blaze Swim Club, or enroll in a lifeguard training course. Johnston Aquatics has classes for students of all ages and interests. Aqua Aerobic courses offered for adults.
The Johnston Early Learning Academy offers programs for 2-, 3-, and 4-year-olds preparing for elementary education.
Before/after school and no school day care during the school year for JCSD students in grades DK-5. Summer full day care during the summer for all students in grades DK-6.
From Mad Science to youth basketball and so much, Johnston youth are invited to participate in one our Community Education's numerous programs.

Learn martial arts, perfect basketball skills, and more with youth recreation. Activities can vary depending on season.
This is a recreational basketball league that focuses on fun and participation. Participants are placed on random teams, practice one time per week, and play the games on Saturdays. Practices are limited to one hour.

We are NEEDING Program Supervisors ($15.84/hr) and Program Assistants (Scorekeepers) that could supervise on Saturdays during JYB from approximately 8:15-3:15pm (could be split up into 3-4 hour shifts if enough help). Supervisors open/lock the school gym, help direct teams/fans, supervise halls, set up the gym for basketball, and more as needed.
