Johnston Community Education

Course Descriptions: 

• Level 1 swimming lessons is for students ages 5 years old and up to learn introductory swim skills such as getting face wet, blowing bubbles, floating, swimming two body lengths, introduction to treading water, kicking, gliding, and beginning to move independently through the water.

Logistics: 

• Students will enter Summit Pool through door #20.
• Swimmers should come to the pool and sit in the bleachers. The instructors will call students down to the pool deck and walk them to the class area.
• Parents should stay in the bleachers and be available to assist their child as needed.
