Learn to swim, take to the diving boards, prepare for the Blaze Swim Club, or enroll in a lifeguard training course. Johnston Aquatics has classes for students of all ages and interests. Aqua Aerobic courses offered for adults.
The Johnston Early Learning Academy offers programs for 2-, 3-, and 4-year-olds preparing for elementary education.
Before/after school and no school day care during the school year for JCSD students in grades DK-5. Summer full day care during the summer for all students in grades DK-6.
From Mad Science to youth basketball and so much, Johnston youth are invited to participate in one our Community Education's numerous programs.

Course Description
This fun music class is geared to the youngest musicians and their parents! Little ones will sing, bounce, dance, listen, and play percussion instruments. There will be puppets, books, and colorful props to make this a fun interactive time for parent and child. Children will experience music from all around the world- from The Beach Boys to Bach!

Instructor: Julie Hendrickson
This camp will be taught by Johnston music teacher, Julie Hendrickson. Julie has taught at Johnston for the past 19 years in both elementary and middle school. She currently teaches 6th and 7th grade choir at Summit Middle School. Julie also taught music at Gymboree Play and Music in Urbandale.
