Course Description

Whether you're wanting to learn the basics of Salsa (Level 1) or you have some experience and want to learn more (Level 2), this class is for you! The teachers provide you with the foundation you need to get moving to this fun and energetic dance. Review and improve your skills while adding turn patterns and hand combinations. Learn something new, meet new people, challenge yourself and have fun!!! 

• Beginner Salsa 1 - Come learn the Salsa basics/foundations and basic turns/patterns. 
• Beginner Salsa 2 - Continue to practice the Salsa basics while adding a few variations to the basic steps. Plan to learn turns/patterns based off of what was learned in Level 1 but will also learn new moves to enhance skills. 

Logistics

• Registrants can sign up individually. Couples are preferred but not necessary as the instructors will dance with students when needed.
• Enter/Exit Door 7 on the east side of the District Office
• Wear comfortable clothes and shoes you can move freely in. Tennis shoes/sneakers are not recommended as they tend to have a lot of traction.

Instructor

• Latin Up Your Life Instructors- Karen Rose and Jose Blanco.  Karen has been teaching Latin dancing for over 10 years; both here in Des Moines and in Minnesota. Jose has been instructing for the past 2 years.
