Basketball: JYB Junior League- Gr K Boys

Participants are placed on teams according to the registration questions and randomly. All games take place on Saturday mornings and/or early afternoons depending on the # of teams. Teams practice and play on Saturdays only at a Johnston Elementary School. Parent volunteer coaches are needed for each team. Two coaches are allowed per team. Lesson plans and rules are given to the coaches. Coaches meeting is- Date/Time To Be Determined. All players must have a reversible JYB jersey. These jerseys can be worn for as many years as your child participates in JYB and/or doesn't outgrow/misplace the jersey. Click here to be re-directed to purchase a JYB jersey. DEADLINE FOR SESSION 1 IS NOVEMBER 1 AT 12PM.DEADLINE FOR SESSION 2 IS DECEMBER 27 AT 12PM.PROGRAM SCHEDULE-Day 1- Practice Skills first 30 minutes (Running, Dribbling, Passing, Shooting)/Scrimmage at end to practice what they learnedDay 2- Practice first 30 minutes/Scrimmage at end to practice what they learnedDay 3- Practice first 30 minutes/Scrimmage at end to practice what they learnedDay 4- Practice first 15 minutes/GameDay 5- Practice first 15 minutes/GameInstructor: Parent VolunteersNOW HIRING- We are NEEDING Program Supervisors ($15/hr) that could supervise on Saturdays during JYB from approximately 8:15-2:15pm or split up shifts if enough help. Supervisors open/lock the school gym, help direct teams/fans, supervise halls, set up the gym for basketball, and more as needed. Little Ninjas

Course DescriptionThis early childhood program teachers the basic fundamentals of Tae Kwon Do and Karate. We'll focus on building self-respect, self-confidence, coordination of mind and body, and self-discipline. Logistics Enter through Door #7 Instructor Mr. Phil Dickey, has more than 30 years of martial arts teaching experience. Elementary teacher, a fourth Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo, Fifth Degree Black Belt Karate, and a 3-time Martial Arts Hall of Fame Inductee.
