  • FIRST LEGO League EARLY Registration

What if you could build a better world? Where would you begin? Join the 2019/20 season of FIRST LEGO League! Set your sights high and dream the communities of tomorrow in "City Shapers" powered by "Star Wars: Force for Change", as they're setting out to inspire citizens of the galaxy to work together in finding innovative solutions to build a stronger, more sustainable future—one that’s built better together. In FIRST LEGO League participants will be challenged to design and program an EV3 LEGO robot to compete in exciting two and half minute robot matches. More importantly, participants practice skills like problem-solving, collaboration, creativity, and innovation while working with their team to create real-world solutions to a well-researched space problem. The season will culminate in a FIRST LEGO League Regional Qualifier where your team will compete with other FLL teams from across the state. There are various locations and dates for the FLL Regional Qualifiers. Team sizes must be between 5-10 students. JCE will do our best to field FLL teams with students from the same schools, but in the case of small teams, students from different schools will be combined. Parent volunteer coaches are needed for these teams. Practice duration, location, dates and times will be determined by the team’s head coach and assistant coach and will then be communicated to the rest of the team. Cost includes FIRST Robotics registration, fees associated with competing at a Regional FLL Qualifier, and robotic sets.
